Summers right around corner ive been doin about half an hour of bike riding every morning right when i wake up go home and eat and mon-fri ive been lifting differnt muscle groups all for 20 sets of 6-8 with 75-80% of my max not includeing the 2 warm up sets ive been doing on every movement with 50% of max for sets of 10-15 with the exception of calfs and leg extensions been doing 1 warm up set for 100 for those movements but not my point... sorry i strayed
Point: ive been eating High Gi Carbs (which means carbs that break down quickly) right after my bike ride after my training and for dinner and ive been eating 2 snack meals every day which is usualy a bowl of oatmeal or an apple so 5 meals daily doing really good first time since senior year i have a sixpack now i gotta work on tan lol agian ive strayed hmmmm....
True point of post: Here is a list of High Gi foods ive been buying... took me 3 trys to say that point... I wont stray anymore...
AND ALL PRETTY or fairly CHEAP
Breads:
Coarse European -Style, Whole Grain wheat or Rye Pita Bread, Cracked or Sprouted Whole wheat
Cereals:
Compact noodle-like high bran cereals (All-Bran, Fiber One) Coarse Oatmeal, Porridge, Coarse Whole Grain (Kashi) Cereal mixed with Psyllium (Fiberwise)
Pasta, Grains and Starchy Vegetables:
Pasta (all types) Barley, Bulgur, Buckwheat (kasha) Couscous, Kidney Beans dry, (Lentils, Black-eyed peas, Chick-peas Kidney beans, Lima beans, Peas, Sweet Potato, Yam (soybeans lowest) Most Vegetables.
Milk Products:
Skim, 1%, cottage cheese, (lowfat or regular), Buttermilk, Low-fat plain yogurt, Low-fat fruited yogurt, Low-fat frozen yogurt ( artificial sweetener)
Fruit:
Most fruit and natural fruit juices, including apple, berries, cantaloupe, grapefruit, honeydew, oranges, pears, grapes, peaches, applesauce, (Cherries, plums and grapefruit lowest).
Meats:
Shellfish, "white" fish (cod, flounder, trout, tuna in water), Chicken, turkey, cornish hen, venison (white meat no skin), Egg substitutes (cholesterol free) cottage cheese
